George Mason beats UConn for Final Four bid

SI.com - 2006 NCAA Basketball Tournament - George Mason beats UConn for Final Four bid - Sunday March 26, 2006 7:41PM

That's certainly something very awesome to see. I drive past GMU every day going to and from work. I've known people that go to GMU. I've been on the GMU campus for concerts at the Patriot Center. Heck my High School Graduation ceremony was at the Patriot Center.

GMU means a lot to Northern Virginia. It's "our" University. Sure we've got Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia in state... but GMU is 100% local.

It's great to see a University that has "grown up" from a local Community College turn into something that could field a team that lands in the final four. From this point out it doesn't matter of GMU goes on to the finals or not (but it would be awesome if they did and took it all home). They've done something that depending on which stat you're looking at only 2 teams or 1 other team has ever done before. That's something that can't be taken away from them.

That's certainly hawesome, and certainly shows that dreams do come true.

Video game therapy

Video game therapy--a new frontier | CNET News.com

It's nice to see a "games can be good for you" type of article in the news among the deluge of "games are bad for you" types of articles out there.

Either which way, that's an amazing story and an amazing kid.

Pixoh: Edit pictures online

Okay, this is pretty bad arse. I really like the concept of being able to use my web browser for various tools. This one is nice an simple and straight forward.

Pixoh: Edit pictures online

It was also very smart of them to push key features as functionality with Flickr. The concept here is that people can now just upload stuff directly to Flickr (for a moblog or whatever) and then use Pixoh to be able to do some quick and dirty editing of said files without having to ever get away from the browser.

Sure... It's bandwidth intensive... But I like the fact that there are more and more tools out there for people that actually *have* bandwidth. Tis a good thing.

Pixoh should go along with Google's rumored GDrive quite well.

Disable the “Send To” context menu

Found this awesome tip from over at Tip Monkies.

TipMonkies » Blog Archive » Disable the “Send To” context menu

It seems like such a small thing... But I've never used the "Send To" option and I hate tripping over it. Very nice little tip.
